Billy Zimarakos is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, where he represents clients in complex commercial and business disputes in both state and federal courts. His practice spans all stages of litigation — from pre-suit investigation through trial, post-judgment proceedings, and appeals. Billy has defended and prosecuted matters involving fraud, breach of contract, business torts, insurance coverage, and statutory claims under Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and other consumer protection laws. He also regularly advises small and mid-sized businesses on strategies for risk mitigation and asset recovery.

Before joining the firm, Billy interned for the Hon. Elizabeth A. Kovachevich of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He also has represented military veterans in successful appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Prior to his legal career, Billy served eight years in the U.S. Army as both an airborne infantryman and military police sergeant. He was deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, where he developed his sense of service and leadership. Billy remains committed to supporting the military veteran community, frequently advocating for veterans, and volunteering his time to give back to the military community.

He currently serves on the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Professionalism & Ethics and Law-Related Education committees.
