Billy Zimarakos is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation and coverage analysis and has experience with pre-suit investigation and dispute resolution, pre-trial, post judgment, non-binding and binding arbitration, and mediation. He has successfully defended clients in various civil lawsuits and multiple types of first-party and third-party insurance disputes from onset through resolution.
Billy previously served as an intern for the Hon. Elizabeth A. Kovachevich at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and successfully represented military veterans in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
Before practicing law, Billy served in the U.S. Army for eight years as both an airborne infantryman and military police sergeant and was deployed to Afghanistan as part of combat operations in Operation Enduring Freedom. Accordingly, he recognizes the importance of service and continues to advocate for and give back to the military veteran community in his spare time.
