CONSTRUCTION/GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS ASSOCIATE – Washington, D.C.
The Construction and Procurement Practice Group in our Washington D.C. office is seeking to add an associate with two to four years of private practice experience in construction and federal government contracting. Substantive bid protest and contract claim experience is highly desired. The firm will consider attorneys with federal government employment experience as well. The position involves construction litigation and government contracts matters primarily, but the candidate should also be willing to assist in other complex litigation practice areas as needed. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required.

The Healthcare Practice Group is seeking to add an associate in our Nashville, Tennessee office with 3-6 years of experience in private practice in healthcare law. The group is looking for an associate experienced in the traditional areas of healthcare law, such as the anti-kickback statute, the Stark law, privacy laws, and other statutes. The associate would be expected to assist in connection of the preparation of contracts, the analysis of regulatory issues, the performance of due diligence, and the support of transactions. The Litigation Practice Group in our Montgomery office is seeking to add an associate with at least two years of litigation experience.  Preferred areas of expertise include product liability, complex business litigation, and life sciences litigation.  Substantive writing, deposition and courtroom experience is preferred.

The Tampa office is seeking to add an associate with 1-4 years of experience to its Government Enforcement & Investigations Practice Group. The associate primarily will be engaged in conducting internal investigations, responding to government inquiries and litigating with criminal or civil authorities, and will also assist with complex commercial litigation issues, including those relating to securities, commodities, and financial transactions. Experience should include legal research and writing, drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, taking and defending depositions, and some trial prep and support work. Federal court clerkship, large law firm or prior experience working for a government regulator are strongly preferred.
