On September 7, 2021, the CFPB issued a NPRM regarding Dodd-Frank 1071, which will require that financial services providers making loans to small businesses, women-owned businesses, and minority-owned businesses collect and report HMDA-like data points to the CFPB. Section 1071 will present substantial compliance challenges and will create new sources of risks for any financial services institution offering small business and commercial credit products. During this session, attorney Christopher Friedman will discuss practical ways to prepare for this new regulatory regime.
