Safe Alliance Recognizes Bradley’s Charlotte Office and Leah Campbell for Pro Bono Work

Firm News, Accolade

Bradley is pleased to announce that, for the second consecutive year, Leah M. Campbell and the firm have been recognized by Safe Alliance for their pro bono contributions during the organization’s annual Pro Bono Awards Ceremony on April 16.

Safe Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hope and healing for those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. They provide assistance through several programs and services including a confidential hotline, a domestic violence shelter, a court advocacy program for victims, a trauma resource center and other counseling and support groups.

Bradley’s Charlotte attorneys regularly contribute to the office’s pro bono initiatives in support of the unmet needs for legal service in North Carolina. In 2019, Bradley helped establish the Domestic Violence Protection Order Project, partnering with Safe Alliance to offer pro bono assistance to victims of domestic violence. Ms. Campbell helps coordinate cases with attorneys who can assist victims with orders of protection while also working directly with Safe Alliance clients on legal issues throughout the year.

Ms. Campbell is counsel in the firm’s Charlotte office and has more than 20 years of experience working with financial services and insurance company clients to resolve complex legal issues in both federal and state courts, as well as before state regulators. She has advised clients on GDPR implementation and cross-border encryption issues and is a leader on Bradley’s financial technology team and has helped develop the firm’s Banking as a Service initiative. Ms. Campbell is a member of the National Association of Confidential Address Programs and is a frequent speaker on the importance of financial institutions complying with state laws that protect domestic violence abuse survivors. She was recently named to the 2024 North Carolina Lawyers Weekly “Leaders in the Law” list, which recognizes individuals making outstanding accomplishments to the practice of law in North Carolina.
