Bradley Partner Margaret Oertling Cupples Elected to Mississippi Bar Board of Commissioners
Bradley is pleased to announce that Margaret Oertling Cupples has been elected to the Mississippi Bar’s Board of Commissioners. Ms. Cupples will represent District 7 – Post 3 and will serve a three-year term, which will begin at the 2026 Annual Meeting in July.
The Board of Commissioners is the governing body of the Mississippi Bar and comprises statewide elected officers, as well as representatives from each of Mississippi’s Circuit Court Districts.
Ms. Cupples is the managing partner of Bradley's Jackson office and is currently serving a one-year term overseeing the Mississippi Bar’s Diversity Committee, where she helps to coordinate efforts to support the Bar’s goal of fostering diversity and inclusion among members of its community. Her experience includes writing briefs and motions in civil appeals and commercial litigation and handling dozens of appeals in Mississippi's Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Sixth Circuit, and in other states’ appellate courts. She also handles insurance sales practices, consumer finance, and general commercial litigation. Ms. Cupples complements her practice with pro bono work and community service on several nonprofit boards.
