Bradley Chairman of the Board & Managing Partner Jonathan Skeeters was interviewed by Law.com on the firm’s strong year in 2025, which saw increased revenue for a seventh consecutive year and “steady” demand in such areas as real estate and its corporate practices.
“It was a good year for demand,” he said. “We tracked 12% ahead on revenue almost all year.”
While there were modest gains in profits per equity partner and revenue per lawyer, the firm also increased its overall headcount by 8% and grew its equity and income partnership ranks amid investments in growth in offices in Texas and the Southeast.
“I think we started like a lot of law firms—we were expecting ’25 to be kind of, ‘Off to the races,’” he said. “Like all businesses, and certainly law firms, (the firm) experienced a little hesitation out of the gate in ’25 with the tariffs, interest rates and some of the uncertainty kind of surrounding all that.”
However, he said he was “proud” that the firm was not reliant on any single practice area or client for growth. He said no client accounts for more than 5% of revenue, while the firm has balanced its efforts between litigation and transactional areas in both attorney hours and recruitment of talent.
Skeeters noted Bradley has traditionally had a higher percentage of equity partners than other firms because of its focus on wanting its attorneys to “think like owners” of the firm.
“It does depress PEP, but it’s intentional,” Skeeters explained. “It’s part of our history—it's been one of our calling cards.”
The practice of encouraging lawyers to work to become equity partners makes it “very attainable and real” for associates. “It helps us to keep rowing in the same direction,” he said
