Jay Hardcastle Quoted in Law.com on Strategic Healthcare Practice Expansion with Addition of Greg Bianchi

Bradley attorney Jay Hardcastle was quoted in Law.com, framing the firm’s addition of healthcare attorney Gregory Bianchi in its Atlanta office as a strategic expansion into an overlooked part of healthcare: companies that support providers through technology, services and infrastructure rather than directly delivering patient care.
The firm "jumped at the chance" to hire Bianchi because healthcare contracts increasingly combine technology, intellectual property, privacy and technical expertise. Bianchi’s experience negotiating those contracts “makes him complementary and not simply additive” to Bradley’s existing practice.
Hardcastle emphasized that traditional healthcare legal practices tend to focus on hospitals, physicians and other direct providers. "There's a whole invisible world out there of people providing services that are not the direct provision of care but that everybody has to have," he said.
"There is such an unmet need and a demand for understanding the extra provider world, outside of the core provider world," Hardcastle explained. These companies create demand for lawyers who understand the intersection of healthcare regulation, technology and commercial contracting.
Hardcastle said Bianchi has a "skill set that not everybody has," allowing Bradley to help provider-focused healthcare practices with contracts involving third-party technology and service vendors, an area those practices may not traditionally handle.
Hardcastle presented Bianchi’s arrival as an expansion of Bradley’s Healthcare Practice Group into the technology, contracting and vendor ecosystem that surrounds traditional healthcare providers, giving the firm capabilities it did not previously have.
