Gavin Bell is a member of the firm’s Government Enforcement and Investigations Practice Group. He helps clients navigate complex criminal investigations and civil enforcement matters. Focused primarily on the healthcare sector, Gavin defends professional and corporate clients accused of violating the False Claims Act (FCA) and the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS). Beyond healthcare, he has extensive experience across white-collar disciplines, including advising clients in the financial services industry and those accused of political corruption or misconduct. Gavin also conducts internal investigations and compliance reviews for businesses in highly regulated sectors.
Having represented whistleblowers early in his career, Gavin brings a broad perspective to clients defending FCA actions, allowing them to craft the most effective defense strategies. This experience enables him to develop proactive solutions for clients seeking to limit regulatory risk, strengthen compliance, and mitigate the impact of potential whistleblowers.
During law school, Gavin worked for U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert T. Numbers, II, in the Eastern District of North Carolina. He was also an editor for the Campbell Law Review.
