Cortlin and her husband, Matthew, have two daughters and two dogs — one of which is a retired explosive detection K9. Cortlin and Matthew (who is a local school resource officer) enjoy playing games with their girls and finding new family adventures. Cortlin grew up in Elba, Alabama and Matthew is from Red Level, Alabama (an even smaller town than Elba), so the family enjoys escaping the “big city life” and taking trips back home to show their girls about small towns when they get the chance.
