Financial institutions, insurance companies, and real estate developers and investors rely on Emily Bowman’s counsel due to her 25 years of experience in real estate finance. Emily helps real estate developers and investors with commercial real estate acquisition, development and disposition. She also regularly issues legal opinion letters in connection with multi-state projects and as local counsel for transactions originated outside of Tennessee secured by real property located within the state.

Emily’s practice crisscrosses the country. She serves as lead counsel, familiar with state laws and customs, for real estate finance transactions from Tennessee to the East Coast, from New York to Virginia, from South Carolina to South Florida, and from Texas to California.

During 2024 and the first half of 2025, Emily closed commercial real estate loans totaling more than $2 billion, including construction projects and fully completed developments, in 19 different states. These projects included multifamily developments, industrial buildings, retail centers, senior living facilities, and even some office properties.
