Joseph Freeman is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He is a registered patent agent with the United States Patent & Trademark Office, and his practice primarily focuses on the prosecution and enforcement of patents and trademarks.
Prior to attending law school, Joseph worked in various engineering, R&D, and operations management roles in the food manufacturing industry for almost a decade. He is proud to say that he has worked with products in every part of the grocery store, except for fresh produce.
Joseph has a J.D. (summa cum laude) from Belmont University College of Law, where he graduated first in his class and was the executive submissions & transcripts editor for the Belmont Law Review. He also earned a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University and a B.S. in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Tennessee. Joseph is a licensed engineer intern with the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners.
