Aaron Johnson is an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Securities and Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice groups. He advises financial institutions, investors, and businesses on commercial finance transactions, M&A transactions, general corporate matters, and distressed investments.
Aaron represents lenders and borrowers in a range of commercial financing transactions, including mezzanine, asset-based, and other secured credit facilities. His work includes structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions and advising clients on related amendments, restructurings, and enforcement matters.
In his general corporate practice, Aaron counsels companies and private equity sponsors throughout the business lifecycle, including in connection with entity formation, debt and equity investments, and acquisitions and dispositions. He also serves as outside corporate counsel to private equity portfolio companies and other businesses across a variety of industries, advising on their day-to-day corporate and commercial needs.
Drawing on his finance and corporate experience, Aaron also advises lenders and investors on distressed loans and other special-situation investments, including acquisitions and dispositions of distressed debt, workouts and recoveries, loan-to-own strategies, Article 9 remedies, and purchases under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Aaron earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he served as articles editor of the Kentucky Law Journal. He earned his B.A. (summa cum laude) in accounting and business administration from Transylvania University.
