Valerie Nagoshiner is a senior advisor* in Bradley’s Governmental Affairs and Economic Development practice groups, where she represents clients before the executive and legislative branches of government in Tennessee and Washington, D.C. She has more than 20 years of public policy and business experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, regulatory oversight and managing special projects. Valerie is particularly skilled in coordinating legislative, regulatory and communication strategies for complicated health-related issues to department officials, legislators, and stakeholders.

Prior to joining Bradley, Valerie was chief of staff for the Tennessee Department of Health. In her role as chief of staff, she served as a key member of the senior leadership team and provided strategic guidance on matters related to health licensure and regulation, health planning, legislative affairs, and patient advocacy. She also served as the assistant commissioner for legislative affairs for the department, where she developed legislative efforts and worked with key legislators, staff, industry and association representatives to ensure passage of important departmental initiatives.

Valerie first came to state service in 2000, when she served as a legislative liaison in the Department of Economic and Community Development. She subsequently worked for the National Federation of Independent Business, leading advocacy efforts in a multi-state region.
