John Perry’s practice is primarily focused on healthcare mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, with a particular focus on diagnostic imaging, radiation therapy, urgent care, and ambulatory surgery centers. In addition, John performs healthcare due diligence in support of the firm’s representation of commercial lenders operating in the healthcare space. He helps his clients accomplish their business goals while navigating the fraud and abuse and other regulatory issues unique to healthcare transactions.

With a strong background of representing healthcare providers in operational matters, John’s experience includes physician employment and recruitment agreements, call coverage agreements, clinical co-management agreements, medical director agreements, telemedicine agreements, and other vendor/supplier agreements. He has also counseled healthcare systems regarding corporate and medical staff governance, credentialing and peer review, licensing and accreditation, reimbursement, and related compliance matters, as well as represented a broad range of providers in medical malpractice and licensure matters.

John’s varied interactions with healthcare bankers and investors, members of boards of directors, physician and non-physician executives, and front-line nurses and their managers have provided him with a broad understanding of the healthcare industry and the challenges faced at every level.

Recent closed healthcare transactions include:

  • Joint venture freestanding diagnostic imaging centers in Florida, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio
  • Joint venture hospital-based radiation oncology center in Pennsylvania
  • Joint venture acquisition of ambulatory surgery center in New Mexico
  • Acquisition of diagnostic imaging centers in Mississippi
  • Joint venture of women’s imaging centers in Texas with private-equity backed management company
  • Commercial loan to multistate anesthesia and hospital management company in connection with acquisition and associated capitalization

In addition to healthcare, John’s experience includes trial and transactional work in corporate and securities matters, banking and financial services, and construction.
