Emerson Phipps is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He drafts and prosecutes U.S. and international patent applications in electrical, software, mechanical, fintech, and networked systems technologies and responds to USPTO Office Actions.
Emerson has prepared post-allowance and continuation recommendations and led early-stage patent licensing negotiations for clients in discussions with major technology companies. He also has supported patent litigation matters through document review and issue identification, as well as performed IP diligence across complex corporate structures, including drafting assignments to remediate chain-of-title issues.
