A significant portion of Michael’s practice is devoted to defending manufacturers and national companies in product liability and mass tort litigation. He has played key roles in large-scale, multi-jurisdictional proceedings, including multidistrict litigation (MDL) involving automotive, consumer, and industrial products, as well as one of the largest MDLs in U.S. history.

Michael routinely coordinates defense strategy across jurisdictions, leads expert development, and handles dispositive motions, including summary judgment and Daubert challenges. He regularly defends catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims involving complex engineering, medical, and scientific issues.
