Heather Wright litigates a wide variety of commercial matters and handles cases through all stages of the litigation process, including injunctive relief hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial. Heather’s litigation experience helps her identify potential liability and compliance risks for her clients. She seeks to minimize those risks from a business standpoint and recognizes that a business solution is the best first line of defense.
Much of Heather’s current practice involves representing financial institutions in the state and federal courts in Tennessee and defending claims for breach of contract, fraud and misrepresentation as well as alleged violations of TILA, FDCPA, RESPA, FCRA, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). For the past several years, Heather’s financial institution work has focused on high-exposure HOA super-priority lien litigation.
In Heather’s growing risk management practice, she advises commercial property owners, commercial property managers and general contractors in the negotiation of insurance provisions in commercial sales contracts, leases, management agreements and construction contracts. Heather also regularly advises these clients regarding risk management through insurance, including litigation of coverage issues when necessary.
