Bradley is pleased to welcome back Mary Clay Morgan to the firm’s Jackson office as counsel in the Labor & Employment and Litigation practice groups.

“Mary Clay is a proven leader, a trusted colleague, and an exceptional litigator who brings a valuable in-house perspective to her practice. We are thrilled to welcome her back to our firm,” said Bradley Jackson Office Managing Partner Margaret Oertling Cupples. “Mary Clay also has managed litigation and compliance at an organizational level. She brings a unique understanding of how legal strategy aligns with business objectives and will be a tremendous asset to our Jackson team and across the Bradley platform.”

“We are delighted that Mary Clay is returning to Bradley and bringing her extensive experience in labor and employment matters,” added John P. Rodgers, partner and chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. “We are confident that her insight, combined with her deep knowledge in employment matters, will provide instrumental support to our clients.”

Ms. Morgan rejoins the firm after serving as chief operating officer and general counsel for a prominent accounting and advisory firm specializing in government disaster recovery, grant compliance, healthcare, and construction services across the Southeast. In that role, she built and led the organization’s legal department, managed all firm litigation, and oversaw the compliance, risk management, and insurance programs. She previously practiced at Bradley for nearly two decades, where she held several leadership roles and developed a broad litigation practice.

With extensive experience in both state and federal courts, Ms. Morgan’s practice focuses on representing employers in a wide range of labor and employment disputes, including claims involving discrimination, retaliation, FLSA violations, and restrictive covenants. She also has significant experience handling enforcement actions brought by the EEOC, allowing her to provide strategic counsel across all areas of labor and employment law. In addition, her litigation experience includes matters involving product liability, financial services, mass torts, business torts, and commercial contract disputes.

Ms. Morgan earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law and received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Millsaps College. She is a member of the Mississippi and Arkansas bar associations and serves on the board of directors for the Mississippi Corporate Counsel Association. She is also a former director of the Capital Area Bar Association and past president of both Jackson Young Lawyers and the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association.
