Bradley Attorney Buddy Cox Elected to Board of Regents for American College of Environmental Lawyers

Bradley is pleased to announce that William S. “Buddy” Cox, a partner in the Birmingham office, has been elected to the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL) Board of Regents. Mr. Cox was inducted into the ACOEL as a Fellow in 2022, and he will serve a two-year term on the 2026-2027 Board of Regents.
The American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL) is a professional association of distinguished lawyers who practice in the field of environmental law. Membership is by invitation and ACOEL fellows are recognized by their peers as preeminent in their field.
With over 30 years of hands-on experience as an environmental lawyer, Mr. Cox represents clients before numerous federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as federal, state and local agencies. He has defended toxic tort and property damage lawsuits ranging from a single individual claimant to over 20,000 plaintiffs in a consolidated action. He also has helped clients undertake a variety of remediation projects involving impacts to water, land and natural resources, has advised clients on permit requirements under federal and state laws governing air, water and land, and has defended citizen suits under a variety of environmental statutes. Mr. Cox’s practice spans matters in all environmental media — water, air, land, waste and natural resources.
