Beccah Bower is a seasoned trial attorney with extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial, regulatory, and tax matters. Drawing from her time in government service and in private practice, Beccah offers clients a unique insight on the legal and practical issues that impact businesses and individuals, allowing her to anticipate challenges and deliver strategic solutions tailored to their goals. She has helped her clients – plaintiffs and defendants alike – successfully resolve disputes through negotiation, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, administrative proceedings, trial, and appeal.

At the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and in private practice, Beccah has led litigations and investigations impacting banks, credit unions, nonbank mortgage companies, automobile and other lenders, credit card issuers and servicers, student loan servicers, debt relief companies, nonbank debt collectors, securities brokerage firms, private equity firms, and remittance providers, among others. Beccah knows the myriad laws and regulations governing financial product and service providers, and she understands the stakes involved in government investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation. As such, clients trust her to provide sound, pragmatic, results-oriented counsel.

Beccah also leverages her experience at the United States Department of Justice’s Tax Division and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel to represent clients in tax disputes with the IRS, administratively and in litigation. For 10 years, she represented the IRS in federal district, bankruptcy, and tax courts, advised revenue officers and agents on administrative actions, and presented matters to the IRS’s independent Office of Appeals. As such, Beccah understands how to skillfully navigate the federal tax system, and she offers her clients effective, clear guidance to resolve their most complex tax issues.
