Phil has been married to his wife, Karen, for more than 30 years and they have a son, Phil, and a daughter, Grace. Phil enjoys hunting, fishing, scuba diving, golf and following LSU football. For several years Phil served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Alabama School of Law, where he taught Appellate Advocacy. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Greater Birmingham. He was recently awarded the Downtown YMCA Volunteer of the Year in recognition of his 10 years of service to the downtown community branch.
