Rod Clement’s practice is concentrated in commercial real estate and secured transactions. He regularly represents purchasers and developers of energy projects, office buildings and distribution centers, as well as lenders and borrowers in financings. His recent projects have included the development and financing of solar and wind projects, carbon sequestration, purchase of healthcare facilities, and sales and financings of underground gas storage facilities. He also has extensive experience with judicial and non-judicial foreclosures and receiverships.

Rod is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, and the Mississippi Bar Foundation.

Rod has been listed in Band 1 of Chambers USA for Real Estate since Chambers began covering Mississippi. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Real Estate and Land Use and Zoning for over 15 years. Best Lawyers also named him Jackson’s “Lawyer of the Year” in Real Estate Law in 2019, 2021, and 2024 and in Land Use and Zoning Law in 2013, 2016, 2019, and 2024.
