Ali Cook is a partner in the firm’s Banking & Financial Services and Corporate & Securities practice groups. Ali represents technology, payment systems, and related services companies in their corporate and commercial matters, including strategic transactions, commercial contract negotiations, corporate governance matters, and M&A.

A primary focus of her practice is assisting financial technology companies in developing and implementing their form customer, vendor, and strategic partnering and referral agreements. With deep knowledge of the constantly evolving payments industry, Ali helps clients navigate complex contractual issues by balancing business objectives with legal risks. Her extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements in the fintech space makes her uniquely qualified to advise clients on the market standards for contract terms in sponsorship, processing, referral, ISO, ISV, professional services, reseller, and merchant agreements.

In addition, she assists a wide variety of tech companies in connection with their corporate legal needs, as well as investment and M&A transactions, including the acquisition and disposition of operating companies, merchant portfolios, and technology assets.

By leveraging her combined in-house and law firm experience, Ali provides business-centered legal advice to help fintech companies make informed decisions and get deals done while minimizing risk.

Ali is designated as an ANSI Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
