Stewart Cox was a partner before retiring from Bradley. He handled a wide range of complex litigation matters for business clients from different industry sectors. Stewart tried cases before state and federal court juries involving consumer and commercial loans, leases, product manufacturing, bank deposits, software licensing, a railway accident and industrial equipment. Throughout his career, he handled hundreds of cases for numerous financial institutions involving mortgage loans, deposit accounts, consumer finance contracts, letters of credit, fidelity issues, investment fraud and insurance coverage, among other subjects. His business litigation often involved fiduciary and competition issues, insurance sales and other sales practices, liability insurance coverage, accounting and business regulation issues.

Having tried numerous jury cases in the state and federal courts, Stewart was able to guide clients in a more direct path toward their objective, whether that was to protect the integrity of the client`s products or services or to reach a quick, efficient resolution. He believed that initial assessment and communication with the client, supported by an instinctive and experienced eye toward avoiding the pitfalls along the litigation path, was key.
