Rita Hullett is a senior attorney in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. She has a broad legal background that involves providing strategic, business-focused legal guidance on complex legal and operational matters across industries. Her experience includes complex corporate and real estate transactions, commercial contracts, governance, and intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining Bradley, Rita was acting general counsel for a multinational company with coal mining, land, and heavy equipment operations in seven states and abroad. In this role, she reviewed and negotiated commercial and real estate contracts, ensured compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, oversaw corporate finance matters and transactions, prepared trademark and IP agreements, resolved complex title issues, and counseled board members and executives on corporate governance.

In addition, Rita previously served on a panel of Subchapter V trustees for the Northern District of Alabama appointed under the Small Business Reorganization Act providing oversight to debtors in possession, facilitating negotiations with creditors and development of debtors’ plans of reorganization and assisting in the claims resolution process.
