Lyndsay Medlin assists clients with a wide variety of litigation and internal investigation or compliance needs. Her experience includes investigating and responding to internal whistleblower allegations and corporate compliance concerns; investigating and responding to government civil investigative demands and litigating False Claims Act matters for healthcare, pharmaceutical, and government contractor clients; and working closely with life sciences and healthcare clients to protect their business interests across the country. Lyndsay also defends financial services clients, including student loan servicers, mortgage servicing companies, and national banks, in state and federal court against tort, contract, and statutory claims, including Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Civil Rights Act, and state consumer protection lawsuits.
Lyndsay developed her litigation and investigatory skills working in both federal and state prosecutors’ offices. As a participant in the University of Virginia’s prosecution clinic, Lyndsay tried misdemeanor criminal offenses and handled felony preliminary hearings and suppression motions. Before joining the firm, she spent five months as a legal fellow in the chambers of the Honorable Louise Flanagan in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
