Representative Experience
    • Taught a portion of board member training classes for new municipal utility board members.

      Taught a host of continuing legal education classes on the legislative process, as well as legislative updates.

      Served as advocate before the Tennessee General Assembly on behalf of client to procure sale of electronic voting equipment and software in 19 counties, including Davidson County.

      Served as advocate before the Tennessee General Assembly on behalf of client to successfully lobby for enactment of a bill dealing with conditions of probation for first-time DUI offenders and earmarking $1.5 million in funds for the assessment and treatment of those offenders.

      Served as advocate before Tennessee General Assembly on behalf of client to successfully lobby for legislation establishing a statewide system of regulation and maintained the existing system of rates and fees.

      Served as advocate before the Tennessee General Assembly on behalf of client to successfully lobby for bill easing the local process for relocating antennas on existing cell towers.

      Served as advocate on behalf of client to successfully lobby for bill making a personal financial literacy curriculum eligible for high school course credit.

      Advocate before the Metropolitan Council of Davidson County.

      Worked on behalf of design professionals on local lobbying registration and disclosure issues.

      Worked in 2019 with client, Tennessee Paddlesports Association to structure a regulatory framework for nonmotorized vessels.

      Worked with immigration reform clients, Conexion Americas and the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition to make residency requirements for Tennessee born college students with undocumented parents consistent with other students.

      Worked with Nashville Electric Service, the state's second largest municipal electric power distributor, to update notification requirements for customers before service termination.

      Worked with alcohol and drug treatment provider community for the adoption of an amendment to the 2015 appropriations bill restoring state funding for adolescent residential treatment services.
