Obtained summary judgment dismissal of breach of contract, fraud, and unjust enrichment claims against a coal mine and one of its executives. Darty v. Cedar Lake Mining, Inc., Circuit Court of Jefferson County, Alabama (Birmingham Division), Case No. CV-2017-408 (July 31, 2020 Order, Doc. 152). Obtained favorable pre-litigation settlement of Alabama Deceptive Trade Practices Act claims arising out of boat dealership’s failure to disclose and satisfy an outstanding mortgage of $277,159 and other liens prior to the sale of a used boat. Represented 71 former tenants of the Metropolitan Apartment Complex in a lawsuit arising out of a fire and subsequent eviction, which resulted in a favorable confidential settlement. Represented Switzerland-based manufacturer of metal bending machine in personal injury, product liability lawsuit in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Represented distributor of concrete sealant products in product liability lawsuit in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
