Ben has traveled to over 50 countries, usually with only a small backpack, plane ticket and Lonely Planet guidebook. His travels have allowed him to experience — in person — the reunification of Germany (Weimar 1990), the divestiture of Hong Kong (1997), a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee, a sunset at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, a solo New Year’s night on top of the Temple of the Great Jaguar Tikal, Guatemala, an invigorating hike to Machu Picchu in Peru, a camel ride at Petra, Jordan, a hike on the Great Wall of China, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, a hot tub on Mount Fuji, a train ride through Rajasthan, an earthquake in Grindavík, Iceland, and a public sighting of Kumari the Living Goddess in Katmandu, Nepal.
