Bradley Elevates 13 Attorneys to Partner or Counsel

Thirteen attorneys with Bradley have been promoted effective January 1, 2026, including 12 new partners and one counsel. The new partners are Courtney M. AcheePetar AngelovJohn H. ElliottLeah M. HomanRobert E. LeonardKevin B. MattinglyRiley McDanielDavid C. MillerMason RollinsMike StephensAlex Thrasher, and Sydney M. Warren, and the new counsel is Lee-Ann C. Brown.

Details about each attorney, grouped by office, are as follows:

Atlanta

John Elliott is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group where he represents a variety of clients in complex commercial disputes and litigation state and federal courts. He brings an analytical approach to his practice to achieve efficient results for clients on matters at both the trial and appellate level, frequently navigating contract disputes, business torts and unfair competition, corporate governance and breach of fiduciary duty issues, and employment discrimination. Mr. Elliott received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his A.B., cum laude, from Dartmouth College.

Birmingham

Riley McDaniel concentrates his practice on high-stakes and appellate litigation throughout the federal and state court systems and has experience at all stages of litigation, ranging from single-party disputes to mass-action litigation. He regularly assists clients with legal strategy, motion practice, and appeals and has worked on appeals at the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh, Ninth, and Eleventh circuits and in appellate courts in Alabama and Wisconsin. He received his J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of Law and earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Auburn University.

A member of Bradley’s Construction Practice Group, Mason Rollins represents general contractors, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers related to the many issues that may arise related to construction. His practice is focused on assisting clients both before and after problems arise by drafting contracts designed to best position clients to avoid disputes as well as litigating and arbitrating matters to final resolution. Mr. Rollins received his J.D. and his B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama.

Alex Thrasher practices in the firm’s Construction Practice Group where he advises clients on all aspects of project administration, dispute avoidance, claim management, and dispute resolution. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked for 10 years as a project manager responsible for construction projects in the power generation, water and wastewater, oil and gas, and pulp and paper industries, giving him a unique perspective on cases that allows him to achieve successful outcomes. A magna cum laude graduate of the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, Mr. Thrasher earned his B.A. from Washington University.

Charlotte

Courtney Achee is a member of Bradley’s Cybersecurity and Privacy and Banking and Financial Services practice groups and holds a CIPP/US designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. She provides strategic advice on compliance under federal statutes and regulations, state privacy and data security laws, and global data protection laws as well as industry standards. Ms. Achee earned her J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and received her B.A. cum laude from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Dallas

A member of Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group, David Miller handles disputes spanning a variety of industries and matters, including fiduciary, bet-the-company, patent, antitrust, product-liability, healthcare, real estate, and construction litigation. He has extensive experience advising directors, officers, and owners of closely held companies and routinely appears and argues motions before state courts throughout Texas, as well as in all four Texas federal district courts. Mr. Miller received his J.D. with highest distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law and earned his B.A. summa cum laude from Baylor University.

Houston

Leah Homan is a trial lawyer in Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group known for handling high-stakes civil litigation from incident response through verdict and appeal. She works with clients across the energy and industrial sectors in matters arising from catastrophic explosions, breach of contract disputes, transportation accidents, oilfield injuries, and premises liability claims. Ms. Homan has successfully tried multiple cases to verdict and has secured published opinions in the Texas Supreme Court. She earned her J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law and her B.S., cum laude, from West Virginia University.

A member of the firm’s Construction Practice Group, Sydney Warren’s practice involves broad-based commercial litigation, including construction defect, employment law, trade secret misappropriation, copyright and trademark infringement, negligence, contracts, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, DMCA insurance defense, subrogation, premises liability, and DTPA matters. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center and earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Houston.

Nashville

Petar Angelov is a member of Bradley’s Construction Practice Group and is focused on both litigation and transactional matters within the construction industry, representing general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, residential and commercial owners, developers and engineers. He works with clients both before and after problems arise by drafting agreements to position clients to avoid disputes and finding resolution through litigation or arbitration when needed. Mr. Angelov received his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law and earned his B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University.

A business and commercial real estate attorney, Robert Leonard focuses his practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions, commercial leasing, land development, commercial lending, and general corporate work. He assists with drafting, editing and negotiating lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, financing documents and ancillary closing documents. Mr. Leonard also manages and runs closing and conducts due diligence for a variety of real estate transactions. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law and received his B.A., manga cum laude, from the University of Tennessee.

Mike Stephens is a member of Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group where he focuses primarily on commercial litigation matters. He has extensive experience assisting clients with a wide range of legal issues in both state and federal court, including contract disputes, intellectual property matters, and other business torts. Mr. Stephens graduated magna cum laude from the Wake Forest University School of Law and received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Clemson University.

Washington, D.C.

Kevin Mattingly represents general contractors, subcontractors, developers, homebuilders, and others in the construction and government contracts industries, in a broad range of complex litigation and non-litigation matters throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the Mid-Atlantic region. He has co-authored numerous briefs filed in the United States Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals of Maryland, and the Court of Special Appeals in Maryland. Mr. Mattingly received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Maryland Law School and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina with distinction.

With a practice focused on construction, government contracts, and insurance coverage, Lee-Ann Brown represents clients in the prosecution and defense of claims on public and private projects, providing counsel on federal and state Miller Act and Prompt Payment Act claims, claims for delay and extended general conditions, and other complex contractual disputes. On the insurance side, she represents corporate policyholders in disrupted claims and coverage litigation matters. A graduate of the American University Washington College of Law, Ms. Brown earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from the Catholic University of America.
