As a Creditors’ Rights Specialist, Austin is one of a small but select group of Tennessee attorneys who have completed a rigorous certification process established by the American Board of Certification. He has served on the board of the Tennessee Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, the Board of Directors for the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute and as chair of the Bankruptcy Courts Committee of the Nashville Bar Association.  Austin has regularly contributed to the Norton Bankruptcy Law Adviser and was recognized by the Nashville Business Journal as one of the “Top 40 Under 40.”
